Trey West was a student at Empire State University when superheroes Adam Blackveil (Nightmask) and Kevin Conner (Starbrand) were also students there.
Trey met Adam at the gym when he served as a spotter for Adam lifting weights. Trey was impressed with Adam’s perfect physique and he and fellow student Krysta Brown both found themselves flirting with Adam, who enjoyed both of their attentions.
Trey and all the other students and staff in the gym were rendered unconscious by the sleep spell of Libra, the agent of cosmic balance, when he arrived to confront Starbrand and Nightmask. Trey and the others awoke unharmed once the incident was over.
Trey first appeared in Starbrand and Nightmask #5 by Greg Weisman and Domo Stanton. Trey is pictured on the left.
