Looking ahead at August’s goodies as June is nearly finished. Hopefully your Pride month has had some great moments! Pride celebrations are a bit different in my area. All four of the largest cities around here hold Pride celebrations in different months…May, July, September, and October where I live after college students return. This year it’s just as well because June has seen lots of rainy days and even some violent storms. But you’re hear for comics and not my musings on weather.

Gastronomique is the comic I’m most excited about this month! It’s a limited series by Marguerite Bennett and Helena Masellis and tells the story of a cold blooded spy caught up in a cat and mouse game with a cannibal during the French Revolution. Sure, a story with a cannibal might not be for everybody (myself included) but I love historical settings and Helen Masellis’ art looks fantastic.
