This panel with Superman carrying Batman in his arms while flying through the sky struck me for its homoerotic meme potential. That’s Curt Swan art obviously, from the lead story written by Edmond Hamilton in World’s Finest #157. The story was the second installment of the 1960s imaginary “The Sons of Superman and Batman” that had Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent marrying Kathy Kane and Lois Lane and starting families three issues earlier. Okay, maybe it doesn’t have the same degree homolicious appeal as the well known image of Batman slapping Robin. Care to write some new dialog for the world’s finest heroes?
