A once in a lifetime opportunity will soon await Wonder Womans when three very high grade Wonder Woman comics will be auctioned off on Ebay by collectibles dealer Darren Adams. All Star Comics #8 (December 1941), Sensation Comics #1 (January 1942), and Wonder Woman #1 (July 1942) make up this highly coveted trio of comics which establish Princess Diana’s first appearance, cover debut, origin, and first solo comic! Adams’ copy of Wonder Woman #1 was originally sent just after its publication to Harper’s Magazine where it was quickly forgotten after someone put it in a folder in a filing cabinet only to be discovered years later! In addition, both All Star Comics #8 and Sensation Comics #1 are uncirculated and have the distinction of being the single highest CGC graded copies, respectively 9.4 and 9.6 while the Wonder Woman copy comes in at 9.0!
You may remember hearing about the auction several years back for Superman #1 that netted 3.2 million dollars. Adams was the owner of that Superman comic and the Christopher Reeves Foundation was a beneficiary of a portion of the auction proceeds. Adams will auction this trio of Wonder Woman comics starting on August 17th and ending on August 27th. As with the Superman auction, Adams will donate to Trafficking Hope , an organization whose goals are to end human trafficking and provide services to people victimized by it.
