Night Flyer

Not much is known about the current man to adopt the identity of the Night Flyer. While the original Night Flyer used a rocket powered hang glider, Stanley uses a more sophisticated jet pack with wings, and his armour is equipped with rockets and flash grenades.

Night Flyer met Conan the Barbarian and Deadpool when they were all locked in the same holding cell together. Stanley tagged along with them when they escaped, in exchange for leading them to a safe location and including them on his next heist. Their target was the old Hellfire Club headquarters which had been abandoned when the mutant community moved to the island-nation of Krakoa, and was sitting there empty still full of cash and other valuables. Unfortunately for them they had the bad timing to break in just as a team of mutants was using their Gateway in the club to sneak into New York on a mission to rescue Cyclops and Storm who had been captured and enslaved by the invading Knull, king of the alien symbiotes.

After a brief brawl the the intruders Bishop of the X-Men decided to end the conflict by hiring Night Flyer and his companions to assist in their rescue mission and earn the money that they were trying to steal. Night Flyer and the others agreed, and although the mission ended in failure Night Flyer and the others received their payment for their services and were allowed to depart. Night Flyer left contact information with Conan in case he ever wanted to work with him again for another score.

Stanley lives with a man named Roger who is both his lover and his lawyer. Roger is fully aware of Stanley’s criminal career and uses his legal skills to help keep him out of jail if he ever gets caught.

Night Flyer first appeared in Savage Avengers #17 by Gerry Duggan and Kev Walker. The original Night Flyer was created by Jack Kirby and first appeared in Captain America #213 and died in Incredible Hulk #264. This version created by Gerry Duggan and Kev Walker.
