Gay League is looking for LGBTQ+ (allies also welcomed!) comics makers and publishers (any format, indy, small press, mainstream) for a feature article during Pride Month. Why do you make the comics you do? What’s the reward for you? What’s frustrated you the most? How do you describe your work/focus/themes (past, current, upcoming) to geeks who don’t know your work? What are your thoughts about LGBTQ+ representation in comics? How do we make improve representation in the future? How can making comics become more financially viable for indy queer creators? Where can geeks find you on the interwebs? Or do you have another idea that’s really strong on your mind?
Hopefully your submission will be a 250 minimum. Article formatting may vary depending on the number of submissions and the length of each. Please feel free to include links to your websites and social media. Please send image files! 700 x 400 pixels or so maximum please! Would you consider allowing your images to be resized and or cropped – after being contacted on an individual basis of course. Please include all names of collaborators so proper credit can be given!
Looking for submissions by June 8th. Please don’t let that date stop you if you need more time though!
