Lion Forge joins the list this month thanks to not one but two graphic novels the small press company is publsihing for September release. Generations, written and drawn by Flavia Biondi, was originally printed in her native Italy and now translated into English. Biondi’s story follows a young man who returns home after a three year absence and learns some truths about himself and his family. At its core, Keezy Young’s Taproot is a love story between two teenage boys, though a love complicated by one of the boys being a ghost. You can read their full desciptions below. Lion Forge’s promotional support for these two books is commendable with outreach that includes, among other points, digital arcs to shools and libraries, comic retailers, and booksellers.
