WHO: Calvin Reid, senior editor at Publishers Weekly (PW). One of the world’s leading experts in the field of comics, he is head of PW’s comics department and edits the PW Comics Week eNewsletter. His lecture celebrates the museum’s current exhibition “Beyond the Cape! Comics and Contemporary Art.”

Reid was instrumental in organizing the reading room in the museum’s current exhibition Beyond the Cape! Comics and Contemporary Art. He will share his experiences as an artist, collector, and journalist. Reid has edited the graphic novels Comanche Moon by Jack Jackson, and David Chelsea in Love by David Chelsea. He is a co-host of the acclaimed comics podcast PW Comics World: More to Come. Reid studied Art Education at Howard University, and lives in New York.
